The ultra sound is definitely an amazing thing of technology that gives you a sneak peak of life growing inside of you. I can't really wrap my mind around the fact of what is going on in there when I really don't feel it. Besides the awkwardness of my own physical changes of a big belly, it is just amazing without words to think about how a human life is forming and how early on you see the features of a baby boy. Just knowing that the first picture of my son that is forever burned in my memory is, well, the very thing that identified him as a male life...he is definitely....A BOY! :)
Those images were quickly replaced by a beautiful face and hands and a thankful heart for he has formed perfectly. We saw in detail all 4 chambers of the heart and its arteries just beating away! It was just an amazing thing and the whole time I'm thinking "is that in MY belly?"
I have just started last week a couple of days feeling him try to give me a little kick. During the ultrasound he was moving his legs and arms quite a bit all around. I don't think he wanted his picture taken. I seriously doubt any child of mine is going to be shy. I felt I knew it was a boy and Michael just was certain that it was and we really weren't surprised at the news - just happy, excited, and anxious for the arrival.
