Living The Life of a Baby

Even tho it's hot and humid here in the south, I catch glimpses of the coolness of fall coming right around the corner. I think this is the perfect time to be pregnant. Summer is getting smaller while I am getting bigger. I feel I've been given my second wind. After band-aiding symptoms and ailments with home remedies - that really do work-I just jumped a hurdle. Maybe the hurdle being trimester 1 out of the way and on to the second. I went to the gym today, and got on the treadmill for the first time in 3 months. It felt great and was just what I needed. I got lots of second glances. I am starting to show and at first I could be mistaken for someone whose fat is just oddly proportioned to my waist while you think I should be running on the treadmill instead of walking to lose those extra pounds a little quicker. But at glance number two you realize maybe - I could be pregnant!

I've come to realize that the preparation for the birth of your newborn baby parallels the very life of a baby once arrived. I too, am now on an eating schedule of every 2 1/2 hours. I too find myself having to "pee" all the time and only wishing I had a diaper. But these were just random comparisons that didnt really come together until now. As I bought by first pair of maternity jeans - that are really really hip I might add -and I am now wearing pull up pants- It's true! I am living the life of a baby!
